Admission and Enrollment Procedures

Applications for the Spring Lottery for admission to the 2024-2025 school year are accepted from October 11, 2023 until 3:00 PM April 15, 2024. Applications must be complete in order to be entered into the lottery.

Section I

A. Within two weeks of April 15th a random public lottery is held, any openings are given in order to:

  • Siblings of currently enrolled students.
  • Children of staff members who are currently employed, work an average of at least 16 hours per week and have been employed at Tierra Pacifica for at least 10 months (not to exceed 10% of the total student population)
  • Kindergarten applicants who attend (or TK students who attended) Live Oak School District state preschools with subsidized enrollment, (up to 3 spots).
  • Children who reside in Live Oak School District.
  • All other applicants who do not meet criteria for priority levels one through four. Attendees of the subsidized preschool program will be asked to provide a release of information waiver on the application so that we may verify eligibility. All Live Oak applicants must provide proof of residency in order to enroll. We will request residency information when a spot is offered. Please do not send in any residency information with your application.

B. Non-accepted applicants are placed on a wait list.

  • If later offered a spot the applicant must accept within three days.
  • If spot is declined the applicant is removed from wait list.
  • If no space becomes available for the applicant, they must submit a new application by the April 15th deadline in order to be included.

Section II

A. If the student is never enrolled that school year, she/he must submit another application to be considered for the next school year before the April 15th lottery deadline.

 

B. If an opening occurs and the previous waitlist has been exhausted, a mini-lottery will be held of the applicants suitable for filling the opening with priority given (in order) to:

  • Siblings of currently enrolled students.
  • Children of staff member.s
  • Children who reside in the district.
  • Children who reside outside the district.

 

C. Non-accepted applicants are placed on a wait list.
If later offered a spot then applicant must accept within three days.
